With Tamil cinema super star Rajnikanth's latest blockbuster 'Sivaji -- The Boss' still running to packed houses in some pockets outside south India, the producers of the film have decided to dub it in Hindi and are planning a post-Diwali release.
'Sivaji -- The Boss' will be dubbed in Hindi as the response for the film in Delhi, Mumbai and other major cities outside South India has been overwhelming," said S C Babu, CEO of AVM Productions.
"Some portions of the film will be....
re-shot to cater to the Hindi-speaking audience and Rajnikanth will dedicate three to four days in shooting," Babu told.
Asked whether Rajnikanth will dub his voice in Hindi, said, "indications are that he is unlikely to do the dubbing."
However, the length of the film will be reduced to two and half hours from the existing three-hour duration as most of the Bollywood films do not exceed the time limit of 150 minutes.
Even though some of Rajnikanth's films were screened outside Tamil Nadu earlier, "Sivaji -- The Boss" got a rousing response from people who thronged theatres in major cities such as Delhi and Mumbai.
"'Sivaji -- The Boss' has proved that language is not a barrier when it is Rajnikanth," Babu said.
Swanand Kirkire is penning the dialogues for the dubbed version and is likely to finish his work by October.
"But we are planning a post-Diwali release. We don't want to release a dubbed version during the festive season," he said.

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is hugely excited about Shimit Amin's "Chak De India" and says playing the coach of a women's hockey team was like revisiting his past.
The film, slated to hit screens Aug 10, is his first release of the year.
Talking about his role King Khan told: "I feel hockey as a sport has been monstrously neglected in our country. I used to play the game during college. In fact, I was quite a good hockey player. So the role was a lot like going back to my past."

The first Pirates of the Caribbean film was a bit of a surprising success. Budgeted at $140 million, the movie started out slow with a moderate $46 million opening weekend, but eventually went on to gross just over $305 million and even earned Johnny Depp an Oscar nomination for his outlandish portrayal of captain Jack Sparrow. The sequel was a surprise as well in the sense that no one expected it to shatter box-office records the way it did. The $225 million production had the highest grossing opening weekend in history when it managed to reap in $135 million domestically. It has since exceeded $420 million in total box-office receipts in the US and has surpassed the $1 billion mark in total ticket sales around the world. Currently, it is ranked third all time worldwide behind Titanic and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It’s no surprise then that Disney has allotted $200 million for the third and final part in the trilogy and has announced plans to release it on the same day around the entire globe instead of letting it trickle through to various markets gradually.
You can expect that the third part will be entirely drowned in the same crude humor, stunning locations, and dazzling special effects that made the first two so spectacularly successful. The filmmakers should be able to surpass the box-office numbers of Dead Man’s Chest especially given the four-day weekend that occurs thanks to the Memorial Day holiday, but they are unlikely to replicate the quality of the very first entry. The drop-off in ingenuity from the first part to the second may affect the performance of At Worlds End just slightly, however. Either way, the Pirates of the Caribbean series has now become a mega-franchise and Disney is not calling it quits just yet. The third part will definitely close out the storyline in the trilogy, but there are already rumors that the producers are planning to make a fourth installment. Other rumors suggested that in order to save some money, Disney wants to cut Orlando Bloom from any such future endeavors. Said rumors were already denied somewhat halfheartedly in an official statement. Still, things look very promising for Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, even if the freshness of the series is mostly gone.

Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodhaa Akbar, starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, will make its way to the 60th Cannes Film Festival that begins today, May 16.
The festival will see Ash and husband Abhishek Bachchan's first public appearance as a married couple.
Amitabh Bachchan is expected to join them in Cannes as well.
Jodhaa Akbar will have music composed by A R Rahman, and is expected to release in October this year.

The film revolves around Saagar Hussain (Rajpal Yadav) who is an undertrial prisoner at the Central Jail। He is accused by his own wife for continuously raping his own daughters across a period of 8 years and also conspiring to murder them। The last eye witness to testify against Saagar is his own wife Sameena (Monica Castelino) who wants to ensure that Saagar gets the worst punishment available। What looked like an “open and shut” case turns take a twist when famous lawyer Ravi Vishnoi(Kader Khan) decides to fight Saagars case। What unravels next is a deep conspiracy revealing itself layer after layer. Is Saagar Hussain guilty or innocent? Is he a man or a monster?
Given the movie was inspired by a “true” story one would’ve expected something with a lot of substance from the makers, however sadly this is not the case. I guess the keyword to note here is “inspired” which means the makers have taken bits of fact and merged it with their own fiction. The first half of the movie shows Saagar in his everyday jail life as he waits for his case to go to court. The sequences of events here are boring and prove no actual purpose in the movie. Some of the scenes seem forced to evoke comedy which seems juvenile in a film of this nature. In between there are some superb moments, mainly the interactions between Saagar Hussain and his inmate (Mukesh Tiwari). Also the few flashbacks which unravel Saagars past have been captured well. The actual movie doesn’t start from the second half when Kader Khan enters the scene as Saagars lawyer.
The momentum and एक्ष्कितेment does pick up as the “truth” is revealed about Saagar Hussain, his wife and his daughters .
The court case is exciting enough for 30 minutes or so, however after a while that too loses momentum and becomes monotonous। Some of the scenes seem greatly exaggerated and totally over-the-top, while others just downright boring। The climax sequence with the murder being captured on the cell phone is hard to digest at all
